Jewellery care

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE JEWELLERY

Jewellery must be protected in order to be able to enjoy it for as long as possible. This means that they must be protected from knocks, contact with water, perfumes, detergents and other products or chemicals that could cause the stones or crystals to come loose or wear out.

As such, hand washing should be avoided when wearing gemstone rings, cleaning, performing other household activities or when at the pool. It is also advisable to remove them when playing sports, especially contact sports. Before going to bed, don't forget to remove your jewellery with stones because they can get caught or deform during sleep.

Diamonds or other precious stones should be protected from: mechanical shocks, contact with hard surfaces and/or sharp objects, chemical agents.

Avoid spraying perfume or setting sprays over earrings, lockets or necklaces. Semi-precious stones or crystals need special care. They should be protected from light and excessive heat as they can change colour, crack or be irreparably damaged.

Silver jewellery should be stored individually in jewellery boxes in dry places away from the kitchen, bathroom or shower to avoid contact with moisture and heat and to prevent oxidation.

Non rhodium-plated sterling silver jewellery may oxidise (blacken) in contact with moisture or excessive heat. This is a natural property of silver and is not considered a defect. Clean unplated sterling silver jewellery with bicarbonate or special silver cleaning solutions to restore its shine.

To care for your jewellery and preserve its shine, we recommend using a soft, special cleaning cloth.

MOOGU jewellery can be made of yellow, white or pink gold. Gold is obtained by alloying with a mix of metals that gives it its specific hue. To intensify the lustre of white gold jewellery, it is coated with white rhodium. The rhodium coating can wear off in 3-6 months and the jewellery can lose its lustre. The same applies to the patina of black rhodium jewellery. This patina will wear off in 3-6 months.

Our jewellery is marked in accordance with our own guarantee mark and title mark, which is authorised by the National Authority for Consumer Protection - Precious Metals Directorate.

Depending on the degree of use, we recommend that your jewellery is examined and cleaned by a jeweller at least once a year.

The guarantee provided does not cover damage to jewellery caused by failure to observe the above indications, accidents, negligence, improper use or other factors unrelated to defects in material or workmanship.
